Because I can, so I did. =) It's been a while since I've posted, just letting you guys know I'm still alive...guess this is better than nothing.

A Picture to Sum Up My Thoughts of The Season Finale
Ha Ha. So I guess I should quickly explain. After the episode ended, I posted a tweet on twitter that said: "Bobby, Y U NO push Alex against the SUV and take her right there?" Apparently I cracked a few people up. People know I'm a shipper; it's not a secret and I certainly don't try and hide it. Anyway, @Kyasurin_Chan made this for me. You kind of have to be on Twitter to understand it, but nonetheless I love it. Completely sums up my thoughts. =)
As far as being disappointed (with the ending), I wanted to be, but the way Goren and Eames were looking at each other...well, HELLO! No one can deny that they saw something there. If you missed it, you either had your eyes closed or you're officially blind! Just saying.
One last thing:
Happy 52nd Birthday Vincent!!!

One More To Go: My Thoughts on LOCI
As most of you know, Law and Order: Criminal Intent is coming to an end once and for all. For me it's a little hard to imagine the show ending; it's doing so well and the fans want more. I can tell by the blog posts, the comments on Facebook and the tweets on Twitter that people want more LOCI. But then I think about all we, as fans, have been through the past couple years and I feel as though it's a good thing. I'm sick of being jerked around and getting my hopes up that there may or may not be another season, that this and that may happen, etc. What really made me lose respect for...(I'm honestly not even sure who to blame here) is when that Fire Sale happened. Really? After ten years that's how you want to go out? Everything you can fit into a box for $5. I must say, that really pissed me off! I'm still angry about it.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm happy it's ending. I can honestly say it feels like a final closure I didn't know I needed until now. Once next weeks episodes ends, I'm going to [try] and take a deep breath and be okay with it. I'm sure there will be tears, confusion and possibly even some anger, but I'll get over it eventually. As long as the ending is written well, I'll be happy. I don't want some weird, crappy ending that leaves me even more angry and wishing they would have left well enough alone way before they started season 10.
And I've been preparing myself for the end for awhile now. I really didn't expect it to be renewed for another season, but you never know. Nonetheless, they finally shot the last episode and all was where it should be. But then this Fire Sale comes about and they're all of a sudden going back to re-shoot the last episode. I have a feeling it's because they knew they weren't coming back. But, I mean, hello! It's got me wondering now what they changed. And, of course, the shipper in me is hoping for the best.
I don't know if anyone understands what I'm saying, but I swear my anxiety is worsening because of this damn show!
As far as this season is concerned, I haven't posted anything since it started but it seems to me people are loving it. What do you all think? Personally, I love the sessions with the shrink. It's kind of funny, really, because I thought I'd hate them. But I don't. I look forward to them every episode. I'll admit, though, that I haven't watched last weeks yet. I'm just so...flustered with everything that I'm kind of...temporarily paralyzed when it comes to LOCI. I can hardly watch the episodes, I can't read fanfic...and don't even ask me how my writing is coming along.
Anyway, I could continue to ramble, but I better stop. I have some theories as to how it's going to end...especially the way Goren is walking out of the building and Eames almost in tears again. But I guess we'll just have to wait until next week to see what happens. This week is going to go by so s-l-o-w. Again, I can't believe it's over, but I'm relieved in a way that it is.
Here are some screen caps I took off Spoiler TVs Promo for Episode 10.08 - To the Boy in the Blue Knit Cap:
Hail and farewell, Law and Order: Criminal Intent!

My Thoughts on May 1st
We all know May 1st is fast approaching. It seems as though it was a year ago (at least for me) that we found out the big news that Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe were returning to Law and Order: Criminal Intent for 8 final episodes. Will they end up doing more episodes? We'll just have to wait and see, but I have very high expectations of this season. Don't all the loyal CI fans out there?
Criminal Intent fans know how Goren and Eames left the show. Loyalty filled the expectations of some, but not all. After a few months went by, I was finally okay with how it ended - no doubt fanfiction helped me through it. But I accepted it and I can say, in the end, I was happy. But now, ha, they're back and I can't help but be nervous. I know, I know, I should have faith but I swear I was born a pessimist. I try not to get my hopes up. From all the news I've read, it looks like the old Goren and Eames are back. And that's great because there's nothing like a happy, spunky Goren with that extra bounce in his step to put a smile on our faces. I'm sure we've all seen the preview of Goren on the phone pretending to be from Armani (if not, please refer to my last blog post). The laugh he emits reminds me of the old Goren we used to know with the inevitable Eames smirk to follow. I haven't seen that in years, and even though I'm a huge fan of Goren's anguish (especially season 7), it should be a nice change. I'm just afraid of too much change.
I know I've complained or whined about the new season that's approaching, but don't get me wrong. I'm ecstatic they're back. When I first heard the news of them returning, I couldn't sleep. I was too busy posting everywhere (I think I broke Twitter that day). The only thing I don't want is for them to sweep everything that happened under the rug. Criminal Intent seems to be notorious for that and it drives me nuts. It's like an itch you can't scratch because they never give you an opportunity to. Maybe the sessions with the psychiatrist will fill in some blanks for us, answer some questions we still have because, seriously, can there be a happy future for Bobby Goren? Quite possibly by the sound of it.
I know I don't post a lot of updates on here, but I leave that to the bigger, more well-known blogs. Besides, in all honesty, who wants to read the same post 50 times? There are some great blogs out there, you all know the ones I'm referring to, so I leave that to the big guns. I give my two cents when I feel it's necessary, but as Bobby said, "I just like to watch."
Hope everyone is doing well out there. Feel free to agree or disagree with me. I love hearing your thoughts. Happy watching!
Tune in for Sunday's Season Premiere at 9 pm on the USA Network. The first episode is titled Rispetto.

I Want
Happy Friday everyone! This is what I want. At least for the weekend. =) For those of you that know me, you know that I have a thing for Bobby in the episode Want. He just looked so insanely amazing in this episode - especially his hair. All pictures from the episode Want. Enjoy.

You Learn From Experience
This is a pretty random true story I thought of one night while thinking of Bobby’s mom, Frances (played by Rita Moreno). As we all know, she was schizophrenic. We saw many sides of her on the show:
Before I begin, I feel obligated to say some words about her. Odd, right? So, she actually really upset me. I guess I should change that to present tense - she really upsets me - because she still does even though she’s long gone. I’m speaking of Goren’s mother, of course, not the actress. These feelings of hatred only occur because of the pain Bobby went though. I felt, I feel so bad for Bobby. Knowing he had to deal with her his whole life broke my heart. I often speculate as to whether he felt like he was compelled to take care of her or if it was just second nature to him. Bobby is so kind-hearted. He’s such a great son that most of the time, he more than likely didn’t think twice about it, you know? He probably wondered why this life, why did he end up with this life, but he never stopped caring for her. Why? Because it’s apparent that he’s the type of man that would take care of her no matter how much it fucked up his life. And I have a feeling that was the main reason for him being single for so long (that and his job of course). Then by the time she was gone, he probably thought why bother.
But I don't think anyone will argue with me that he had it rough and it messed with his psyche; even permanently screwed him up to a point. It would affect anyone to some degree. Look at what Nicole Wallace did to him when she brought it up.
Simply put, his whole family was crap.
I had a lot more written, but I deleted it and decided to just move onto my point and story. As always, feel free to add your thoughts and opinions about anything on this topic. I welcome all comments.
One of my law professors a few years ago told me a story that I’ll probably never forget. She’s the chief of police in a city here in Washington so I listened intently figuring she knew what she was doing. I actually didn’t care for her too much, but I paid attention nonetheless. She told us a story of something that happened early into her career as a police officer. She heard a call through the radio late at night and promptly responded. When she arrived on location, sure enough (just as the dispatcher had said), there was a man standing in a field of grass completely naked.
She was pretty new on the job and hadn't encountered anything like it before. The boy (I believe she said he was in his mid-teens) just stood frozen, not once attempting to move or speak.
...And then she yelled at him to lie down. He turned and ran in the other direction. Eventually she caught up to him, tackled him and then handcuffed him.
Later that night she spoke to the boys mother whom informed her that her son was schizophrenic and that's he'll do anything you ask as long as you don’t, yes you guessed it, yell or scream at him. This is obviously some very useful information. Now obviously she didn’t know he was schizophrenic at the time (I think she said she thought he was just some drunk kid), but it still helps to know what you’re dealing with and, more importantly, how to deal with it and even recognize the signs if such an instance occurs again.
There’s a lot of information on schizophrenics and I can’t help but think, god, the reading Bobby must have done. He was so good and patient with his mother. And sure he’s smart and, in his own words, “resourceful” (Siren Call), but I’m sure he did many long, hard hours of research. Especially when he knew his mommy wasn’t like all the other mommy’s. Oh, I’m just killing myself here with the quotes.
I’ve personally witnessed what schizophrenia can do to a person and how to handle them. No, no one (including myself) in my family has it. You can speculate all you want as to where I was. I just remember I heard screaming and ran into this persons room just in time to witness her hitting herself. I dealt with it as best as I could until someone more qualified came to the rescue. At the time, I didn’t panic nor was I scared. But thinking back on that experience, damn, it's some crazy shit. I've studied psychology for years and I knew at the time she was hearing voices that were telling her to hit herself. The only thing I could really do was try to restrain her until someone else came. Having to witness it for a short time period is one thing, but dealing with it your whole life, well, I couldn't imagine.
Just one more thing that makes Bobby amazing.

Goren: You Don't Know What I Need...
This entire blog post is dedicated to one line in the episode Endgame when Goren says to Ross: "You don't know what I need. And don't tell me who I am. You don't know who I am. And don't tell me how I think."
To me this is such a strong scene for Vincent's character. The way he reveals his feelings - or if you think about it - lack thereof. His anger covered all other emotions. Perhaps he was hiding in his shell for fear of being sought out, revealed, understood, ridiculed for being who he is, etc. You name it, I've thought about it because I love this scene. And when he told Ross not to tell him what he needs, who he is or how he thinks, you have to wonder... In my personal opinion, I don't believe Ross every really understood him. Maybe to a certain point, but he just didn't get him. For me, I saw a lack of trust towards Goren that I hated. I don't think Goren was defensive, per se, but I definitely heard that Goren roar that could be seen as a 'back off' to his own captain. I have to agree with him because, really, who is Ross to assume he knows what Goren needs? His boss? So what.
As a person that is known to be quite complicated like Goren, I too can say it's very frustrating when people pretend to know who I am or what I'm thinking. In fact, I believe I've said some words similar to his before...
I have a slide-show at the bottom of screen caps I took as the scene plays out. There are many pictures of Ross I skipped, but you get the point. The dialogue is as follows (note: all pictures are in order):
Ross: He's toying with you. Now you're personally invested. He's got you exactly where he can control you.
Goren: He's not in control of me. I can handle him.
Ross: No, detective, you don't need this in your life right now.
Goren: You don't know what I need. And don't tell me who I am. You don't know who I am. And don't tell me how I think.
(long silence)
Ross: I'll just tell you this, you're off this case.
(Ross exits the room and Eames goes after him to persuade him to change his mind)
Note: The first picture starts where the title at the top says Endgame.

The Look
There's a certain scene in the movie Staten Island that I keep re-watching. I have screen caps of the scene and there's one look on Vincent's face that, in my opinion, is a splitting image of Bobby Goren. I know, I know, they're played by the same person, but when I saw the look on his face, I immediately thought: Bobby! That sad, unsure look is so Bobby.
Here's the look I'm speaking of:
What do you think? Am I losing it? To me this is completely a 'Goren' look. If it wasn't for the fact that I knew this was a screen cap from Staten Island, I'd undoubtedly believe it's from Law and Order: Criminal Intent. You know what episode this actually reminds me of? The episode Siren Call and most definitely Blind Spot. Go back and watch the episodes and you'll be pointing at your screen saying "Yes! Snyder's right! There's the look! I see it!" He does this expression in more than those two episodes, but those are the two that came to mind first. It's that damn puppy-dog look he does so well - his eyes sad, his brows furrowed and his forehead wrinkled. I love it! I think this is the look I fell in love with! It makes me want to jump through my TV and hug him...
No other movie I've seen with Vincent D'Onofrio in it - though little it may be - emits an expression from him as profound and similar to his character on Criminal Intent like this movie and this shot.

Goren's Back
This is more a less a challenge from Criminal Intent Musings. What's the challenge? If you have a favorite picture of Goren's back, post it on your blog and then return to Criminal Intent Musings' blog and add your link so everyone can enjoy.
It sounded simple enough, I knew the exact shot I had in mind because it's always been a favorite and I love this episode. Well, it turns out I didn't have a picture of it. So I ended up buying the episode, Depths, on iTunes and then spending hours and hours doing screen caps. One screen cap turned into another and before I knew it, I had hundreds of screen caps of him!
Anyway, here is the picture I chose:
And because I can, I just have to add one more:
Well, it is a picture of his back...side. =)

Size 13 Prompted by Jones
People seem to love to talk about Vincent's size 13's and as I sit here at this very moment, I can't help but smile at the fact that I do too. I grin like a fool in love every time I see his feet - or for that matter - every time someone even mentions them in passing (dare I say no pun intended). I swear I don't have a foot fetish, but after the episode Jones, well, it's his fault we've all come to love his feet! The thing I find even more amusing is that he knows we do! He's not stupid, he's not ignorant, he knows!
It doesn't come as a shock to me that people are aware of the sheer size of him. I've taken notice as have all of you. The size of his feet, for me anyway, became well-known (practically a celebrity in themselves) after the Jones episode aired. But I have to ask you, did you ever sit back and think about the actor, Griffin Dunne, that played Henry Talbott? That poor man! I know it's just acting, but I seriously wonder if that had any affect on his relationships with women. After the small feet and hands comment by Goren, well, hello!!! I mean the guy is small! Oh, to see the behind the scenes for this episode! LOL
Anyway, to point out some of my favorite screen caps from this episode, I put together a little collage so to speak. You know the scene it entitles. Enjoy and hopefully smile. =) I'm sure I will actually post pictures of his feet as time passes, but I wanted to keep this strictly dealing with this episode.
The words: snug fit, tight missile and I wear a 13 come to mind here. LOL

All Things Vincent
'All Things Vincent' Introduction:
Who am I?
All Things Vincent is the title of my new blog. It honestly didn't take me very long to come up with this. I hope no one else out there is using this name. I don't believe anyone is, but you never know...
Anyway, my blog and blogger name have a kind of theme about them. For all you X-Files fans out there, I hope you figured it out by now. As much as I love Vincent D'Onofrio and Criminal Intent, my first love was The X-Files. Notice the past tense by the way. =)
I know a few people have wondered about my name and finally built up the courage to ask me. For those of you still wondering, a little explanation before I get on with bigger and better things (hint: VDO because he's bigger and most definitely better). For those of you that don't give a shit and just want me to get on with Vincent, just hold on for a few minutes while I ramble on for a few paragraphs. LOL
OuroborosSnyder is my name. Well, not entirely. I first learned of the word 'ouroboros' from an episode of The X-Files, episode: Never Again (season 4). To make a long story short, Scully got a tattoo of an ouroboros. What does an ouroboros look like? Well, there isn't one picture that dictates what the design should exactly be per se. Scully's was simplified, but here's what one can look like:
What is an ouroboros? If you're that interested, you can read here: Ouroboros. Basically, it's a dragon or a snake (serpent) devouring it's tail. That's the simplified version, but it symbolizes the re-creating of ones self and denotes eternity or eternal life. Get it? =)
Now that we have the ouroboros part covered, what's Snyder? There's nothing too it, really. If you haven't notice by now, I sign everything at the end with ~Snyder~. Snyder is simply my name. To be more specific, my last name. Years and years ago, I put the two words together and, voila, I got the name OuroborosSnyder that I now use all around the internet.
Why did I choose 'All Things Vincent' as a title to my blog? All Things, actually known as 'all things' (all lowercase), was an episode of the X-Files that all true fans know about. It's possibly the episode in explaining a lot about the show (or at least how the relationship between Mulder and Scully got started). Gillian Anderson wrote the episode and made sure that it was known that the episode was all in lowercase, however I changed it. I originally put it in lowercase, but it didn't look right.
So there you have it. I hope to create a blog picture like all you other people out there with awesome Vincent blogs have, but I'm not superb with it comes to photoshop. Actually, I quite suck. LOL. Hopefully I'll be able to come up with something though - maybe even incorporate an ouroboros in there somewhere. =)
Well, after torturing you with my story, I think you deserve some pictures, don't you think?
Nothing too special this time - just some yummy pictures I picked out that I enjoy looking at. Actually, every picture of Vincent is special IMO. =)

Youtube
Like so many other people out there, I too am a fan of Youtube. Oh, the possibilities it brings. You can listen/watch music videos, find previews for your favorite shows, and if you're lucky, even watch some episodes.
It's also entertaining. Here's a great example of the entertainment it can bring: One day before my law class began, my friend and I were getting antsy. So what did we do? We pulled up youtube on the professors computer. Now, mind you, this computer was hooked to 2 different classrooms and anything we pulled up (since it was a DE...Distance Education class), showed up in the other classroom in another campus as well. So, like two geniuses that we were, we searched "dumb cheerleaders," "funny videos," and yes, "dumb blondes." Oh, gosh, the fun we had. And while one of the most epic dumb blonde videos was playing (link provided at the bottom), our professor walks in. Picture a giant projector screen covering most of the front of the classroom with a, well, not-so-smart person on Are You Smart Than A 5th Grader? front and center. Our professor literally stopped mid-stepped and watched what we were playing on technically his computer. And not thinking about it until the tech guy came in, oh lord, those poor students in the other classroom. They didn't see our teacher so they weren't sure why the hell that particular video was playing. Torn between the horror of this moron on their screen, they were trying to decide whether or not they needed to take notes. LOL
Well, you can imagine the scene. I really don't think I need to describe the rest of if for you, but we played about 15 different videos until our professor walked in.
So why am I mentioning youtube? Because there has always been something I've wanted to do. I love watching fanvids (usually Criminal Intent and, of course, Bobby and Alex). I ship them, I do. I love to watch them on screen and I love to see what kind of videos the loyal Criminal Intent fans can put together to bring me to tears. The song choice is everything in my opinion. You can have the best scenes from the series with a very well put together video, but if the song just doesn't work (for me anyway), then the video doesn't work. And I can't tell you the number of times I've ended up buying a song on iTunes because of how much I loved it in a Criminal Intent fanvid someone just did.
So, I want to make youtube videos. I want to put clips together and make other people cry for once! As someone once told me, some people make youtube videos which bring people to tears and others write fanfics; I do the latter but would like to try the former. I have a list of songs in mind. In fact, I've been making a list of songs I would like to use over the years and have slowly been asking other people to use the songs to make the video for me. So, I need help. I don't know how to do any of this but I'm up to the challenge...
